The Rideau Canal Festival Board of Directors and staff and volunteers would like to thank all participants and visitors for making the third edition of the Rideau Canal Festival a successful celebration! Thank you to our sponsors and partners for all their support, which helped keep the Aim-for-Zero Footprint celebration of our beloved UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Rideau Canal, free for everyone.

Special thanks to all those individuals and corporations who showed how much they love the Rideau Canal and participated in our Adopt-A-Metre of Rideau Canal Heritage Campaign.

This August long weekend, come and join us for locks of fun at the Rideau Canal Festival! Be part of this exciting celebration, show your love for and feel proud of Ottawa’s beloved landmark and Ontario’s only UNESCO World Heritage site, the Rideau Canal.

Whether you enjoy a visit to the Bytown Museum and Rideau Heritage Village, follow the Rideau Canal Flotilla and Parade of Lights, or like to ride a bike along the Canal, this is a festival full of fun for you!

This Aim-for-Zero Footprint Celebration features free activities for the whole family, including the World Heritage Plaza featuring the Great Wall of China, Energy Ottawa Ecosphere Environmental Fair and the Musical Breeze Bicycle Parade.
