Kaliandrews Dance Company
  • 11:00am – 2:00pm

  • Kaliandrews Dance Company specializes in Acrobatics and Circus Arts, as well as Stunting, Tumbling, Contortion and Aerial Arts. KADC has been training students in Ottawa for several years and was the first studio in the city to bring advanced acrobatics, aerials and contortion- and they are bringing these unique skills to the festival! Look forward to a live tumble track routine by this flexible group of acrobatic dancers!

BOATSCUM BOYS: 1812 Re–enactment Camp
  • All Day

  • Go back in history when you visit this completely authentic 1812 camp set up both on shore and in water, complete with two gunboats under oars and sail with cannon and crew. Get your land legs back for the on-land display of canoes and tents.

  • Demonstrations: cooking, sailing/rigging, battle, active boats on the water. You can interact with live displays such as; clothing, weapons, fur trading, skins and furs, mandolin playing and fencing.

The Unsettlers
  • 12:00pm – 2:00pm

  • A ten-piece band of time-traveling troubadours, The Unsettlers specialize in dark polkas, waltzes and horse-drawn lullabies.

  • With a focus on expert vocals, The Unsettlers sound includes clarinet, accordion, violin, horn, guitar, piano, bass, and trashcan drums. The Unsettlers have gathered a devoted following with their haunting, windswept vocal harmonies and pulsing, danceable blend beat poetry and big-top dixie.

  • 2:00pm – 3:30pm

  • This will be the biggest floating party the Capital has ever seen! You can expect to see many unique and eye-catching boats spectacularly transformed with lights, flowers, props, music and dancing, all decorated to the theme of ‘180th birthday party celebration’.

  • Thousands of people will line the banks to watch the boats entertain spectators, judges and participants alike as they cruise around the Rideau Canal at Dows Lake. The Flotilla is an integral part of community spirit in the National Capital Region and we are dedicated to the continuation of this Ottawa tradition.

  • Flotilla start up time is at 2:00pm
