Museum of Nature

Just minutes from Parliament Hill, the Canadian Museum of Nature is a must-see attraction in the nation’s capital. Magnificent, world-class galleries presenting the wonders of nature are featured in a stunning "castle" – one of Canada’s most significant heritage sites and a wonder in itself!!

In the new RBC Blue Water Gallery, visitors marvel at beautiful aquariums and the sight of a complete 19 metres long Blue Whale skeleton - the largest creature ever to live on Earth!

The Vale Earth Gallery features a dazzling collection of minerals and rocks. Visitors will also explore the fascinating worlds of dinosaurs, mammals, and birds.

This summer, don’t miss our special exhibition, organized by the American Museum of Natural History, Extreme Mammals: From the largest land mammal, to the smallest, to the just plain weird, this exhibition explores the surprising diversity of extinct and living. An incredible array of specimens adds up to an extremely exciting experience.

Also on show at the Museum a 3D movie, Dinosaurs 3D, Giants of Patagonia, an amazing science-based production that makes you will feel like these great beasts are once again roaming the world!
